Today I’m excited to take a look back at our 2020 real estate market. Specifically, I’m going to look at some of the dire projections we were planning for at the beginning of the pandemic and how things actually played out. Back in July, I made a video in response to Suze Orman’s prediction about an impending wave of foreclosures due to the pandemic. She made a dire prediction that many agreed with at the time, but that didn’t happen in reality.

Cited below for your convenience are timestamps that will direct you to various points in the video. Feel free to watch it in its entirety or use these timestamps to browse specific points at your leisure:

1:23- Initial forbearance concerns vs. reality

3:05- What has happened to the 6,484,000 families granted forbearance?

5:05- Why these numbers are great news for homebuyers and sellers alike

6:00- Wrapping things up

If you have any questions for me about what’s happening here in the Rhode Island real estate market or anything else related to real estate, don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
